Co-hosted by the Ontario Archaeological Society – Ottawa Chapter, our Public Archaeology Day provides a hands-on approach to learning about this science. Throughout the morning there will be a variety of information stations manned by professional and avocational archaeologists ready to share their knowledge, demonstrate techniques and answer your questions.
10:00am to 12:30pm:
• mend broken ceramics
• view flintnapping demo
• learn Bonnechere Park history
• view local artifacts
• meet local authors to learn about Indigenous and Kashubian cultures
7:00pm to 8:00pm: Saturday Night Live multimedia presentation featuring the archaeology process and artifact research
