Best of Bonnechere - Decorative Glass
Pressed glass, originally introduced as an inexpensive substitute for cut glass, was extremely popular and produced in more than 3000 patterns. This water pitcher, bowl fragment and small salt cellar represent popular design brought to the backwoods. The inkwell (upper right) would look good on any desk. The diminutive container, perhaps a vase (bottom right), further illustrates design in everyday items.
