Best of Bonnechere - Raised Pattern Ceramics
These few sherds (reproduced both sides) of Jasperware might have been amongst a lady's most treasured possessions.
First produced by Josiah Wedgwood, it bears a contrasting relief embellishment on a fine unglazed stoneware body stained to provide the coloured background. Several producers imitated Wedgwood's wares, but none were considered up to his standards.
