Mike Runtz
Naturalist, Photographer, Writer, Educator
Mike has been an active volunteer with the FBP since our inception. His dedicated research and interpretation of animal habitats along the Little Bonnechere River has provided the basis for many of his books and park-based interpretive programs.
A highly respected naturalist, nature photographer and natural history author, Michael is most comfortable in the outdoors howling with wolves, luring moose out to the woods, netting dragonflies and photographing beavers. His intimate familiarity with the wilderness makes him the perfect ambassador for nature. His photographs give viewers a captivating glimpse of a world seldom seen.
Each August Mike co-hosts the annual wolf howl at Bonnechere Park.
