1750: Love in the Rapids

Every spring the Little Bonnechere River's cold waters become hotbeds of activity. Walleye come in to the shallows to spawn at night, while suckers arrive throughout the day. Brook trout also lurk in some sections. Predators drawn to this ready food supply include osprey, Aboriginal peoples and now loggers and settlers.
