This small collection of ceramics includes a selection of ironstone pieces representing various eras and patterns. The plain ribbed cup at centre may be the earliest, the other fragments of cups are likely the Wheat pattern. The Grape pattern plate fragments are still later. The floral element is likely the latest.

These items date from the late mid 19th through early 20th century periods. The brown transfer printed refined white earthenware was very popular in the late 20th century.

This fragment of a white ironstone plate features the "Grape" pattern. This unmarked sherd was undoubtedly produced in England for the export market. It was important to offer a variety of patterns, something new, on an otherwise plain utilitarian ware such as white ironstone, in order to entice the buyer.
