Community Resource Centre

The FBP has long advocated for increased opportunities to get children and their families outdoors and active. Thankfully, over the years we’ve had plenty of help from liked-minded people and organizations.

One of the local community champions that we have worked with for several years, is the CRC team from nearby Killaloe. It’s become a tradition that each winter our two groups pitch in to co-host Winter Magic, an annual event that celebrates outdoor family fun in our polar season. The CRC arrives via the Toy Bus, which is filled with play equipment, craft supplies, storybooks and homemade cookies! Rumour has it that Clifford the Big Red Dog is often a frequent hitchhiker. Friends like this, are friends in deed – and indeed!
