1400: Of Dams and Dam Busters

Beavers are the Little Bonnechere's only engineers. For millennia these industrial animals have dammed many a tributary stream creating a series of temporary ponds. They live here until the poplar food supply runs out. When they move on the ponds are abandoned and dams crumble, sometimes giving way like dominos. Soon the beavers choose a new site and the process begins again.
